Sales representatives - required for areas other than Montreal

Many areas in the U.S. and Canada are not being adequately covered at present.  We are looking for sales reps with experience in concrete equipment, industrial controls or similar, to call on ready-mix concrete plants, precast concrete plants, brick, block and paver plants.  A generous commission is available to the right individuals or companies, together with excellent technical training and backup.

We recognize that there are many existing specialists in one or more of the above industry segments who may already be selling other products.  We welcome such individuals, provided that the other products complement and do not compete with Scale-Tron products.

We expect all reps to work from their own house or office;  relocation would not normally be necessary unless coverage is already complete in the area.


Customer Experience Manager

Scale-Tron Inc. is currently seeking a Customer Experience Manager to handle the increased need for both after-sales service and after-service sales.

Responsibilities include the establishment and maintenance of a customer relationship programme that provides the dual role of technical servicing and training to recently acquired customers as well as creating and exploiting opportunities for business development. Principle objectives will be:

-          Provide product support and technical servicing to existing customers as required, over the phone, online as well as on-site.

-          Monitor the on-going service operations; execute plans for improvement and efficiency.

-          Understand existing customer operations and capitalize on the opportunities to upgrade, improve or expand these operations with additional products and services.

-          Establish a customer focus group to create a better understanding of the market and to help trial new product developments.

-          Train, coach and supervise a small team, including the management of responsibilities and human resource activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

-          At least five years experience in the concrete (ready-mix and pre-cast) industry, particularly with plant controllers, industrial weighing equipment and load cell/scale calibration, is required. Specific experience in the servicing operations and customer management is highly preferred.

-          Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers’ and dealers’ upper management. Presentation skills are an asset.

-          Strong troubleshooting skills, bolstered by a history of devising quick, effective solutions to complex problems.

-          Successful sales experience, including developing and maintaining relationships at a national account level. Negotiation and contract development experience is key.

-          A mix of both technical comprehension (at the engineering level, preferred) and business savvy.

-          Both North American and European industry experience. Written and verbal fluency in English is a must; additional languages (French or Spanish) are assets.

-          Ability to travel occasionally (around 20%), possibly internationally.

-          Well-versed in office applications, including database management.

-          Advanced certificate or university degree.
