full signal, or even a percentage full signal based on a level
measurement.
SiloWeigh
measures the actual weight of the vessel and contents to give a true
picture of the amount on hand - and it costs little more than a level
sensor.

All three sensors use high quality foil strain
gauges, as used in high-accuracy load cells, to give superior stability
and accuracy.
SiloWeigh
is temperature compensated by
matching the sensors to the metal of the legs. We have demonstrated
typical accuracies of ±1 to 2% of full scale when all four legs are
gauged. It is possible to gauge only half the legs but we do not
recommend it since wide variations in accuracy are possible. You can
also mount the legs on Load Cells for high accuracy (0.1%) (see
bottom of page).
All-weather.
Sensors, wiring and junction boxes are carefully weatherproofed and you
can set up the dust and spashproof display system in a convenient indoor
location.

BOLT-ON strain gauge sensors
(shown at left), which attach directly to the vessel's legs,
eliminating the need to lift it onto load cells and making it easy to
install.

allows monitoring of a mix of solids by weight and liquids

sensor for special applications.
SiloWeigh is a
local display and alarm system. SiloWeigh.Netis also an Internet
database inventory management system.
SiloWeigh
BAR GRAPH- the display cabinet can house up to
eight bar-graph indicators to display up to eight vessels at
the same time.
Up to eight
Bar-graph indicators in wall-mount cabinet for local
viewing, shows both level and actual vessel weight in
tons, lb, kg etc.
Optional 4
programmable relay alarm setpoints per vessel, based on
weight values, to power alarm lights or bells. These
also have LED indicators on each bar graph.
Optional analog
output for each vessel connects to PLCs and computer
control systems.
Cabinet and
indicators are dust and splash proof. Add display
covers to make them NEMA-4 waterproof. Outdoor use
requires a weatherproof enclosure, cabinet heater or
both.
Install and
calibrate the system yourself. We deliver a kit
with complete instructions. All required cables are
provided and are colour coded. Calibration is
straightforward, using the weighed deliveries as
reference.

We have installed the SiloWeigh system in our
concrete batching plants in Korea. We have found them easy to
install and more accurate than other similar products when in use.
We particularly like easy calibration and simplicity of installation.
A major benefit of
SiloWeigh system that we have noticed is its ability to calibrate from
deliveries of material, without the need for fully emptying the silo, as
is required with regular weigh scales.

HIGH ACCURACY USING LOAD
CELLS
If
you can lift the vessel, the legs can be mounted on load cells. The
feed silos at left were converted without lifting by cutting the bottom of
each leg in turn, refitting the foot and bolting onto the load cell mount.
This gives full load cell accuracy; typically 0.1% of full scale.
Useful when fine accuracy is required or when dealing with awkward leg
styles that either do not allow gauges to be fitted or are too flexible for
accuracy.
